Thanks for sharing this great info. The Nikon is very good but I genuinely believe the Minolta is noticeably better. I’m using Vuescan at the moment but there are some problems getting Vuescan to work – often resulting in the computer hanging up. Using Windows 7 64 bit Thanks, Lynn. Connect your scanner and turn it on with doors closed. However it fails when called as twain from within graphic software – it says “close your scanner doors” despite they’re closed. The Nikon is very good but I genuinely believe the Minolta is noticeably better. Is this good for the Minolta Expression models?

I found some documentation indicating these numbers as revision numbers: It will install using original drivers. Scahner I’m frustrated that the original Minolta software does not work. My completely uneducated guess is that Vuescan may well be drawing off data at too rapid a rate and the cache is being overloaded.
Uncompress zip file or put downloaded. This never happened using the Original Minolta scan software.
The problem I had with Vuescan is that the program would start to scan, then freeze permanently, until the machine was rebooted.
Go to “Control panel” and launch “Device Manager”.

Using Vuescan, all works fine. For some reason, it cannot be found mino,ta the Net. Do this without connecting your scanner. Still, the Minolta Dimage software is working spot on and I’m very happy with the present solution. Ed Hamrick of Vuescan was unable to help. Find your Minolta scanner, right click on it and choose “Update Driver Software”.
